ABOUT THE FIRESIDE RESTAURANT

   Way back in 1904, a road house was opened to serve the weary merchants and farmers traveling between the farms that once occupied this area and the bustling markets in the city. Today, as the Fireside's most recent proprietors, we remain dedicated to carrying on the 106-year tradition of good food and friendly hospitality.

   And, like the innkeepers of old, our primary interest is in serving our customers.
   So, if you have any special request, either in the way your food is prepared or perhaps a dish not shown on our menu, please feel free to ask your host.

THE FOOD

   The Fireside specializes in homemade food with a Cajun kick, and homemade specialties like lasagna and pork chops. Dishes like bronzed shrimp, calamari and meat loaf are all available blackened or served up with Cajun spice. Start with smoked chicken quesadillas or rich baked artichoke hearts, then feast on smoked ribs, thin-crust pizza, pasta or steak. Sunday brunch offers egg dishes galore and a bloody mary bar with more than 200 toppings: pepperoni, olives, red peppers and dozens of hot sauces.

           




DINING

The dining room offers a very casual experience. You won't find the white tablecloths here. For warm months, when it's really chilly, request a seat by the cozy fireplace.





The multi-leveled patio is heated and enclosed in cold months, with a retractable awning in the summer. Don't forget the sunscreen! The charming year-round patio is a favorite neighborhood hangout where locals gather.



Our newly added front sidewalk cafe is great for people watching and is dog friendly.








WHAT TO DRINK

 The Fireside offers nearly 100 beers with 16 on draft, with an emphasis on locally produced microbrews. Half Acre, Revolution, Metropolitan, Goose Island, and Two Brothers are just a few of the breweries you'll find on our ever-changing list.
We carry an array of spirits including Bourbon and Rye American whiskey, Scotch whisky, Irish Whiskey, Gin , Vodka, Rum, Tequila, and all your favorite cordials and after dinner liqueurs as well.
On Saturday and Sunday's during brunch hours, we also feature our 200 ingredient build your own bloody mary bar, complete with hot sauce, dry spice, meats, cheeses, olives, pickles, and much more.

This is a place to hang out with friends, watch a game, and just plain relax! Enjoy our full
menu til 3am (4am on Saturdays).
